Brown Hare (Lepus europaeus)

Brown Hare Lepus europaeus in a grass field posing on hind legs

I'm having real trouble with the hares in the fields around our house this year. The problem has been caused by the fact that the farmer is much later letting his cows into the fields. This means the grass is very high enabling the hares to see me long before i see them. This one did sit up and pose nicely before legging it!
