Roe Deer in Flight (Capreolus capreolus)

roe deer in flight capreolus capreolus

A lesson in always having your camera. This roe had obviously been laid up against a hedgerow at the side of the path when I walked past with our ancient fifteen year old dog. She's well behaved anyway but the deer decided it was time to go. I would have liked a little more shutter speed for this one but only had a couple of seconds to grab the shot. I always take my camera as the time you don't have is when that shot of a lifetime passes you by!
